Re-Connecting

Here in Christchurch, Professionelle’s Christchurch Chapter
recently ran a very energising and successful Re-Connection event
for professional women in the city. Our aim was, informally, to
discuss ways to survive and ultimately thrive in the “new normal”
we’re all living in, and to draw on positive psychology principles
to help us along. The wonderfully relaxed setting, kindly hosted by
PricewaterhouseCoopers, was the perfect backdrop.

The event included sharing resource offers and requests for
practical help. We’ve collected the first ones here. Please feel
free to use the comments section below to add more of both
resources and requests.

Helpful Resources

For children: Jojo’ s Place: this is a great online tool
built around many positive psychology principles to support
children impacted by the earthquake.

For businesses: Westpac Business
Hub
: Westpac is offering free temporary office space with
multiple support services to affected businesses of most sizes. The
schematic of the floor plan is attached as a pdf just above the
comments section below.

A Professionelle member is offering potential design and rebuild
for a business looking for space on the edge of the CBD (contact Kathryn
Jackson
who will pass on details).

For team leaders: Kathryn published an eBook to
support conversations at work
, including a detailed discussion
tool for helping to talk about the earthquake.
